June 7, 2011 – Meeting Notes

 

General Notes:

  • Thank you notes need to be written-we need volunteers
  • July 19, 2011 Trenton Thunder Game-tickets are still available $7 email jhshane4@yahoo.com if you are interested
  • We now have “Wepay” linked off of the new website www.joshuaharrshane.org for those interested in paying for the outing online.
  • Please continue to advertise on facebook and twitter
  • We need someone to do PR
  • Windsor-Hights Herald has two articles and did editorials on the Joshua Harr Shane Foundation written be Jen Samuels-Great job!
  • Harvest Dance-being moved to March (3/17 or 3/29) and location being moved to Mercer Oaks, we hope to have Mission Dance to play

 

10th Annual Golf Outing Updates

Product Sponsors updates:

  • Sold almost all of the product sponsors and now have a new sponsor sheet
  • We are selling golf balls or clubs on the back of the shirt for $400.00 each. Sponsors can put choice of wording (business, name, etc.) up to the sponsor
  • We do not have a sponsor for the golf towels-we would like to-they have been nice in the past

Donations

  • When you leave a brochure please sign the letter with your own name and number

Recent donations/sponsors

  • Mercedes Benz of Princeton-donating a car for a hole-in-one, back for the 10th year
  • Dayton Toyota-donating a car for a hole-in-one, back for the 10th year
  • Hamilton Honda-donating a car for a hole-in-one, and $500 cash hole in ones
  • Rita’s Ice-back for the 10th year-serving ices
  • Sabrina Pizza of East Windsor-donated gift certificates
  • PNC Bank of East Windsor-$500
  • Starbucks of (Whitehorse-Mercerville road) Hamilton will be serving coffee
  • Dick’s –gift certificate
  • Ellen -stuffed animals, lunchboxes, etc
  • One hole will have a surprise vacation

Volunteers

  • If you are volunteering for registrations the day of the golf outing please try to be there by 9:30am.  Also email Judy at jhshane4@yahoo.com
  • If you are volunteering to watch a hole you must be there by 11:00am Also you may not leave these holes unattended. To be relieved just let us know we have back up assistance on all holes

Recent Aid

  • Sent boxes of food, toiletries, etc. to McGuire Air Force Base for soldiers who have been deployed overseas
  • If you have anything you would like to donate to the troops please let us know, we cannot send chocolate or aerosol cans. We will be happy to send it
  • Medical bills were paid for someone ($650)
  • Stroller was purchased for a special needs child ($425)
  • Scholarship given to a Hightstown High School student in the amount of $1000
