About Josh

Joshua embodied those traits that illustrate the very best of our young citizens, the future of our nation. He cared deeply about others less fortunate than himself and because of this, had huge dreams to become a doctor. In his junior and senior year at Hightstown High School he donated his spare time to the Princeton University Medical Center. Even with the new responsibilities of being a freshman in college, Josh continued to volunteer at the Princeton University Medical Center until his untimely death at the end of his freshman year at Rutgers University.

What Josh's Friends Say

He was the guy every mom saw their daughter with, he was the guy every girl wished to be with, he was the guy every guy wanted to be friends with, he was the guy every teacher wanted to be blessed with, he was the guy every coach hoped to e awarded with, he was the guy everyone couldn’t go without being with.

Josh always did whatever he could to get someone to smile, and never wanted anyone to be upset. He brought out the best in everyone.

I am grateful for everything he has taught me and all the memories we have shared.

I was taken aback by the happiness brought to him by doing something nice for his friends.

It was his smile that seemed to appease anyone who found fault with him.

Josh was such a kind, loving and caring young man. I remember at his Bar Mitzvah I was asked to give a little speech about him. I absolutely hated speaking in public, but it was for Josh. I was so nervous that while we were on the Bema, Josh took my hands and held them so they wouldn’t be shaking. Talk about the child teaching the adult!

The definition of a friend.

Never before have I met someone who could balance having fun, loving his friends, his family, his girl, while managing to stay focused on his future.

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, to teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become.

Josh was an enormously energetic, intelligent, funny and responsible young man. Josh’s energy and spirit were contagious.
