Mayor’s Shining Star Award
The Joshua Harr Shane Foundation was honored by Better Beginnings in Hightstown on April 30, 2011. JHSF was presented with The Mayor’s Shining Star Award. “In recognition or their high degree of commitment to the welfare of others, their impact on the community and lives of others, and demonstration that services to the community can make a difference.”
Embrace Kids Foundation
In 2013 the Joshua Harr Shane Foundation donated $15,000 to the Embrace Kids Foundation Palliative Care Program. This program allows for the same nurse a terminally Ill child has in the hospital to become the visiting nurse at home. The child and the family know the nurse and the nurse knows the case. It helps make a very difficult situation a little less stressful everyone. This is an unthinkable time for all involved every little bit helps. Thanks to all of you we were able to do this.
In December 2010, Embrace Kids Foundation recognized the Joshua Harr Shane Foundation. The award went to the 4 organizations that “provided the most assistance over the past decade in fulfilling Embrace Kids mission to help local children with cancer and blood disorders.”

Mike Spann was the first American killed in the Afghan War

The Joshua Harr Shane Foundation was honored by McGuire Air Force Base. On behalf of the JB MDL AF Ball Committee, it is my distinct honor to invite you as the Honoree to the 2013 AF Ball! The AF Ball will be held on Friday 20 September 2013 at the Tommy B’s Community Center.
